At their October meeting, the Board of Trustees elected Natalie Mahowald the Irving Porter Church Professor of Engineering, effective November 1, 2017.
EAS's late Professor Emeritus Jack E. Oliver was appointed to this endowed chair in 1971 when he came to Cornell from Columbia University.
