Engineering undergraduate programs rate highly
US News and World Report ranks Cornell Engineering's undergraduate program #9 in the nation
Cornell Engineering was ranked in the Top Ten undergraduate engineering programs in the country today by U.S. News & World Report. The rankings are based solely on the judgments of deans and senior faculty at peer institutions and include only schools accredited by ABET. Cornell Engineering was tied for 9th on the list with Purdue University.
In addition, eight of the undergraduate degree programs offered at Cornell Engineering were ranked in the top of their respective fields: Biological Engineering (7), Civil Engineering (10), Computer Engineering (10), Electrical Engineering (10), Engineering Physics (5), Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering (11), Materials Science (8), and Mechanical Engineering (10).
In March, U.S. News ranked Cornell Engineering’s graduate program 12th in the nation. At that time, Lance Collins, the Joseph Silbert Dean of Engineering, commented, “Our exceptional reputation can be attributed largely to the collaborative culture that enables faculty and students to investigate complex problems that lie at the interface of multiple disciplines.”
