Lohman talks to CURIE audience
A week long summer program hosted by the Diversity Programs in Engineering called the CURIE Academy brings rising high school juniors and seniors who excel in math and science to campus to explore the many options available to them in Engineering at Cornell University.
This year's participating students had the opportunity to learn more about the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and its undergraduate major, Science of Earth Systems from EAS Assistant Professor Rowena Lohman. Lohman began with a summary of her background and area of interest, explaining how she became interested in earth science. She continued with an overview of the many disciplines within the department and gave some examples of the types of careers that students could pursue following graduation.
